A Retford man received a community order after smashing a window at his ex-partner’s home.

Henry Baker, 46, of West Grove Road, admitted causing criminal damage at Worksop Magistrates’ Court.

The court heard that Baker, who was said to be shouting, smashed a single paned window at the address.

Baker said he had gone to the house to collect his mobile phone and to fix a light on the complainants car. He said he did not intentionally smash it and only ‘knocked on it.’

Baker was sentenced to a 12-month community order with 12 months supervision, a 12-month restraining order, 120 hours unpaid work, and £60 compensation.
