A Derbyshire MP has been moved into a new cabinet role by Prime Minster Theresa May.
Patrick McLoughlin, who has been MP for the Derbyshire Dales since 1986, has been made Conservative Party Chairman and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
This means he will be one of the main faces of the Conservative Party in the media and will also have responsibility for the Cabinet Office department in Whitehall.
He was formerly Secretary of State for Transport where he was soon to have a major role in deciding the future of the controversial high-speed rail project, HS2.
As yet, there is no word on the identity of the new Transport Secretary.
