Police in Rotherham are appealing for information following an alleged road rage incident in which a van was damaged.

At around 5.45pm on Saturday 22 February a Silver Volkswagen transporter van and a blue Audi almost collided on a roundabout known locally as Woodman roundabout.

It is alleged the Audi driver then followed the Volkswagen along Warren Vale and onto Wentworth Road.

Both vehicles came to a stop on Hooton Road where the van was damaged.

Officers are trying to trace anyone who witnessed the incident and the manner of driving of both vehicles.

They would also like to trace the driver of a Mitsubishi Shogun who was in the area at the time and may have been overtaken by the Audi.

Anyone with information is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 782 of 22 February 2015.
