Pentathalon challenge

A MEMBER of Bannatyne’s Health Club in Worksop has won second prize in a UK inter-health club pentathlon challenge.

Anthea Bloomer was one of over 5,300 Bannatyne’s members from across the UK that took part in the Bannatyne Pentathlon Challenge 2012.

The 62-year-old used equipment and fitness classes at the club to complete the pentathlon, including Body Pump, Spinning, covering 1500m on the rowing machine, walking 3km on the treadmill and swimming 25 lengths of the pool.

Anthea said: “I’ve really enjoyed completing Bannatyne’s pentathlon. This challenge was a great way to keep me motivated and winning the speaker system was an added bonus.”
