Olympic star in Saxilby

GOLD and Silver Olympic medal star Sophie Wells was in the area to open a brand new library in Saxilby.
The new facility, on the ground floor in the St. Andrews’ Centre on William Street is simply called ‘The Library’ and boasts the latest, books, technology and more.
Lincoln-born Sophie Wells, 22, is a Paralympic TeamGB Gold and Silver medallist winner in Para Dressage from the London Paralympics 2012.
Saxilby and Ingleby Parish chairman Peter Odam said: “2012 really has been a golden year for the village, what with the Torch Relay and now another celebration is due with the next chapter of our library’s history. And who better to do the honours?
Coun Odam continued: “Sophie is truly inspirational and that’s what we’d like our new library to be – this long awaited opening is such positive news.”
