Over 606 parents and carers in North Lincolnshire are reaping the benefits of free child care for their two-year olds – the fourth highest take-up out of 30 councils in the Central region.

North Lincolnshire Council, who administers the scheme, has helped around two-thirds (71.6 per cent) of eligible parents/carers receive 570 hours a year free child care. The national average is just 55 per cent. Since May 2014, the council has seen an 80 per cent growth in those accessing free child care.

You must meet certain criteria to qualify for the free childcare for two year olds.

“It’s not too late to apply. It is a fantastic offer that is helping many parents ease the financial burden of childcare and is enabling more people to go back to work.”
