A man who walked down a South Yorkshire high street completely naked was detained by police and taken to hospital.

The 31-year-old ‘flasher’ was seen in Maltby High Street, Rotherham, at about 9.30am on Saturday, walking down the road without any clothes on.

Alarmed onlookers called the police.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police were called following reports of a naked man on the High Street, Maltby.

“Officers attended and the 31-year-old man was detained for his own safety and taken to hospital.

“He was not arrested. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
