Bassetlaw: Mann wants inquiry into level crossing death
And he wants Network Rail bosses questioned about the incident.
Mr Mann said: “A young girl died because of what the Transport Salaried Staffs Association said was a ‘catalogue of failures’ by Network Rail.”
“The car she was in was hit by a train on a level crossing that was not properly lit.”
“The report released by the Rail Accident Investigation Branch raises some very serious questions which must be answered by the executives at Network Rail.”
“It is urgent for the safety of the people of Bassetlaw that we are given guarantees that an incident like this will not happen again.”
