Kilton Road will be closed for three weeks

Drivers are going to face three weeks of delays, detours and headaches this month as a main route in and out of the town will be closed.

Notts County Council has confirmed that Kilton Road will be shut from its junction with High Hoe Road for 300 metres in a westerly direction for three weeks from 6am on Monday, 17th February to 5pm on Sunday, 9th March.

The closure is enable surfacing work to be carried out on the main vehicle access for car parking and deliveries for the new Morrison’s supermarket in the town

During the closure period, a diversion will be in place along Kilton Road, Priorswell Road, Cheapside, Retford Road and High Hoe Road, and vice-versa, meaning likely queues and longer journey times for Worksop motorists for almost a month.
