Staff on the children’s ward at Bassetlaw Hospital have thanked everyone who visited the ward over Christmas and helped the young patients’ stay a little more bearable.

The ward received many special visitors during December including staff and players from Worksop Town who came bearing gifts for each patient which included a selection box, a football and team scarf.

They also surprised the ward with a very generous gift of a TV.

The ward also received a surprise visit from Hallam FM who dropped off 22 gifts for patients from their Cash for Kids charity – a charity which gives a helping hand to local children over Christmas.

H&T Pawnbrokers of Worksop fund-raised for the ward during December raising £123, which they delivered on 18th December, along with presents for the children.

Christmas Eve saw some more special visitors with a visit from action heroes including Batman, Ironman and Santa Claus, who kept everyone in order.
