Firefighters from Worksop and Retford were called to the recycling centre in Shireoaks Road at 10.15pm on Sunday 9th March.
Four fire engines were required to make the site safe and crews remained at the site throughout the night.
The fire came just two weeks after a third blaze ripped through the plant for a week, prompting Bassetlaw MP John Mann to call for its closure.
He said: “Two weeks ago, I demanded that the site be closed down- and here we are today with the local community having to cope with yet another fire on the site.”
“This is unacceptable and I am demanding urgent action is taken to close the plant. We cannot go on like this- the health and welfare of local people must always come first.”
Retford Fire Service are currently at the site, attempting to break up the pieces of burning waste in order to extinguish the fire.
Bassetlaw MP David Pressley backed Mr Mann’s call for the site to be closed.
He said: “Residents and businesses are being affected by the smoke and odours being emitted from the site yet again.”
“Of course, the council don’t want people who are employed at the site to lose their jobs- but this has gone on too far and action needs to be taken immediately.”
The council have contacted the Environment Agency demanding further investigations be carried out at the centre.
