A 40-year-old man dodged a pet destruction order after his two terriers attacked a woman outside his home.

David Northage, of Herrick Drive, told Worksop Magistrates’ Court he accidentally left the dogs outside after taking the bins out. The dogs then attacked a woman who was visiting her son next door, causing bruising to her legs.

Northage went on to say this was a ‘one-off’ attack and that he trusted the dogs with his young grandchildren.
