A 29-year-old man who died whilst at work at Explore Manufacturing in Worksop has now been named.

Richard Reddish, believed to be from the Bolsover area, sadly passed away in the early hours of Tuesday 8th July when he became ‘trapped under concrete.’

It is thought that Mr Reddish was married and had a young son.

An inquest into his death will start on 10th March 2015 and is expected to last four days.

At the time of the incident, Notts Fire group manager, Bryn Coleman, said: “Using specialist equipment, firefighters from Worksop Fire Station’s White Watch and members of the Specialist Rescue Team from Tuxford worked for some time to free the man, who sadly died.”

“Our thoughts and sympathies are with the man’s family and his colleagues at this very sad time.”

A police cordon had been in place and the premises was also closed for a number of days.

A spokesperson for Laing O’Rourke, the group that owns Explore, told the Guardian: “The thoughts of the Laing O’Rourke leadership team and the entire workforce at EIP are with the family and colleagues of the deceased at this very difficult time.”

The Health and Safety Executive are continuing to investigate.
