Following the sad death of a 27-year-old man at Explore Manufacturing in the early hours of Tuesday morning, a statement has been released to the Guardian.
A spokesperson for Laing O’Rourke, the group that owns Explore, said: “At approximately 1am on Tuesday 8th July, an incident occurred at Explore Industrial Park, Steetley, near Worksop, in which a factory worker suffered fatal injuries.”
“The worker is not being named at present.”
“The circumstances of the incident are being investigated, and Laing O’Rourke is cooperating fully with the police and Health & Safety Executive.”
“The thoughts of the Laing O’Rourke leadership team and the entire workforce at EIP are with the family and colleagues of the deceased at this very difficult time.”
“While investigations are continuing, it would be inappropriate to comment further or speculate as to the cause.’
