Concerns have been raised for the safety of an elderly woman who was seen in the Torksey Lock area, not knowing where or who she was.

Despite receiving no reports of a missing person, police are appealing now for information about the woman who they say is potentially vulnerable.

She arrived in the yard of a business on Newark Road at around 7.50am this morning (Wednesday 2nd April).

She seemed confused, apparently not aware of where she was or her name. She walked off towards the A1133.

The woman is described as being around 5ft tall, slim, and was wearing a blue fleece jacket, grey trousers and a dark woolly hat.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “We have not received any missing person reports and it is important that we establish that the lady is safe and well.”

“We are appealing for anyone who sees a woman matching this description to call us on 101, quoting incident number 53 of today.”

“If the lady is a relative or neighbour and you know that she has now returned home safe and well, please also call to let us know.”
