Families and friends joined in the fundraising fun in aid of this year’s Sport Relief.

Young and old alike dug out their running kits to take part in the sponsored event at Belton All Saints’ Primary School, with hundreds getting on their marks.

Super sprinters and willing walkers took part in one of three races covering one, three or six miles.

The event was organised locally by the Rotary Club of Epworth and Isle of Axholme.

Rotary Club member Richard Vergette said: “This is the fifth time the Rotary Club has organised a Sport Relief Mile and our MP Andrew Percy started off the mile race.”
