A brave daughter is continuing her support for the hospital which cared for her mum who was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Sarah Butler, aged 26, of South Anston, is once again putting her best foot forward after signing up for the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity’sRun in the Park at Graves Park in Sheffield on Sunday 13 July.

Sarah’s mum, Sue Payne, underwent a mastectomy followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy at Weston Park

“It was a really tough time for us all when my mum was diagnosed but we stuck together and battled through,” Sarah said.

Sue opted to have a second mastectomy after her course of treatment and have ever since rallied together to back the hospital’s only dedicated charity.

Sarah has already completed the run twice including running with her sister last year.

Helen Gentle, fundraising manager at Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, said: “We are so grateful to Sarah for choosing to enter Run in the Park again and for trying to help us raise as much money as possible for the cancer patients in our region.”

To sign up for Run in the Park visit www.runinthepark.org.uk or call the Cancer Charity office on 0114 2265370.
