Dinnington based young runaways charity Safe@Last raised more than £3,000 during just one week at its pop-up charity shop at Meadowhall Shopping Centre.

The boutique sold quality new and used clothes and accessories donated by supporters of the charity.

The funds raised will contribute towards Safe@Last’s education and prevention programme which educates children and young people about the risks and dangers of running away.

A new, permanent, Charity Chicks shop will open on Herringthorpe Valley Road in Rotherham in October.

“It’s been fantastic to return to Meadowhall and I’m very grateful to everyone that made the week such a triumph, especially Meadowhall for their continuing support and our volunteers for staffing the shop,” said founder trustee Hilary Massarella.
