Top international choreographers who have worked with big names such as Usher, Mariah Carey and Kylie Minogue have helped Notts County Council’s County youth arts team and expert curator Gareth Woodward to provide youngsters in the region with vital skills to get into the industry.

Tony Adigun, Ukweli Roach, Ivan Blackstock and Sarah Dowling – all big names in the industry – spent a day working with 14 young choreographers of tomorrow from across the East Midlands.

The masterclasses were part of Xzibit, which is part of Youth Dance England’s Young Creatives scheme.

Gareth, local artists Jasmine Eccles and Jen Manderson, and the youth arts team, spent three months with the young people honing their skills.
