There are just days left to give views on how Notts Fire and Rescue Service plans to keep people safe and respond to incident in the next five years.

The service is currently consulting with the public on its Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP), which outlines how it proposes to keep people safe from fire and other incidents in the face of decreasing budgets.

This includes providing an appropriate number of fire engines in the right places, giving out fire safety advice and inspecting businesses to ensure they are adhering to fire regulations.

The 12-week consultation comes ends Sunday 2nd February, and the service is keen to encourage everyone to take part.

Chief Fire Officer Frank Swann said: “This is your chance to help shape what Notts Fire and Rescue Service does in the future to help keep those who live, work and travel through our county safe, and I would urge everyone to make sure their views are included.”

A report on the results of will be considered by the Fire Authority in February.
