Notts: Insurance policy warning for drivers

September is the most popular month for car insurance renewals as well as registrations for cars. Drivers are being warned how important shopping around for insurance can be.

In September 2013, over 400,000 new cars were registered on the UK’s roads, the highest number of new monthly registrations yet. If there is a similar demand for new registration plates this year, then not only will there be a host of new vehicles on the roads, but also fresh stock hitting the second hand car market.

Clive Parkin of Age UK Nottinghamshire, said: “For those renewing their car insurance or even changing their car this September, shopping around for car insurance is vital.”

“Drivers should also bear in mind those insurance policies that are tailored for specific audiences. In 2014, 20 drivers over the age of 100 and over 400 drivers aged between 95 and 99 were covered by Age UK Car Insurance.”

Age UK Car Insurance is provided by Ageas Insurance Limited and is designed to meet the needs of the needs of those later in life. Policies have no upper age limit and offer a no claims discount option. To discuss Age UK Car Insurance call 01158414447
