GAINSBOROUGH are reminded to check for signs and lines when they park, as Lincolnshire County Council takes on parking enforcement powers soon.
Around 20 civil enforcement officers will work on street traffic restrictions like yellow lines, kerb markings and limited times in parking bays.
They will issue penalty charge notices to drivers who break the parking rules.
A spokesman said: “This is something that hasn’t been regularly enforced by the police in recent years, and motorists need to be aware that this will change.”
The council starts enforcement on 3rd December.
