Rother Valley MP Kevin Barron visited Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice to present a cheque for £3,000.
He is a parliamentary advisor to the Japanese Pharmaceutical Group, and the donation was his remuneration for his work.
A keen supporter of local charities, he has supported the hospice in the past running the London Marathon in 2007.
He said: “The funding of the hospice movement has always been relatively poor from the public sector, so I’m happy to help such a worthy local charity.”
Sarah Champion, Bluebell Wood chief executive said: “We are extremely grateful to Kevin for his continued support and recognition of our work.
