Thirteen, two bedroom bungalows on Hallcroft Close, Haxey, which were completed in May 2015 have been named as one of the Best Social or Affordable Housing Developments in the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) South Yorkshire and Humber Building Excellence Awards 2016.

The LABC South Yorkshire and Humber Building Excellence awards recognise the honour the most impressive construction developments and projects in the region, for their outstanding quality work and excellence in both design and construction.

This is the second time Ongo Homes and TG Sowerby Developments LTD have been highly commended in this category. Last year it was for Karen Court off Haig Avenue, Scunthorpe, a housing scheme for people with learning disabilities.

The awards were held at Forest Pines earlier this month.

Martin Philips, development manager for Ongo Homes, said: “We are very proud to have been recognised as one of the best social or affordable housing developments in South Yorkshire and the Humber.

“We want to create homes people want to live in and can be proud to call them their home. This award reflects how we are working hard with local partners like T G Sowerby Developments to make a real positive difference in local communities by creating much needed new homes.”
