THE historic and iconic landmark of Gainsborough Old Hall will soon be made available for the ‘exclusive use’ of wedding parties during civil wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions.
It has been announced with ‘the blessing of English Heritage’, that the dates will be available in 2013 – 2014 on the first Friday and last two Saturdays of the month from May to September.
A spokesman said: “On these days, the Hall will be closed to the visiting public and wedding parties can enjoy exclusive, all day use of the Hall for their special occasion.”
“This fine Grade I-listed, Medieval building is the ideal venue for your special day. Set in the heart of the East Midlands, Gainsborough Old Hall is perfect for a small wedding reception or a grand Medieval banquet.”
Gainsborough Old Hall wedding co-ordinator Amanda Batham said: “The Hall is a wonderful building and is the perfect setting for a wedding. The grand rooms provide a beautiful backdrop and I am so lucky to be able to work at the Old Hall making dreams come true.”
She added: “Whether you are thinking of a small wedding ceremony for 40 people or a fine wedding banquet for up to 120 people, the venue has many options.”
