Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue are working with the Prince’s Trust on a 12 week Personal Development Programme in Gainsborough.
As part of the programme, the team are undertaking a Community Project and the team have chosen Lea Road station in Gainsborough and their aim is to redecorate and refurbish as much of the station as possible and help raise the profile of young people in Gainsborough.
Lorraine Espin-Hempsall said: “They are raising money to support the project.”
“They have raised £700 so far and have spent around £400 on materials and equipment for the station.”
“They are raising money through things like bag packing at supermarkets.”
“We have also had support from Wilko and B&Q.”
“They are all so well organised and are great at getting themselves organised.”
