An elderly couple have moved into a home that is ‘just right’ for them thanks to West Lindsey District Council’s Assisted Move scheme.

Lawrence and Ann Cook had been on the housing register looking for a bungalow in Gainsborough for more than 10 years.

The couple, who are both in their 70s, wanted to make the move from the rural village to be closer to family, support and transport.

The Cooks were pleased with the support from everyone involved in the move and are looking forward to settling in to their new home.

Mrs Cook said: “When I came here, I just sensed that it was the place for me.”
