A Gainsborough butcher will be serving some unusual varities of sausgae to mark British Sausage Week.
Among the eight varities Dave Wrather and his team at Oxley’s Butchers will be selling include old English and real ale, turkey and cranberry, apple and stilton as well as classics such as Lincolnshire, Cumberland, farmhouse and a speciality beef sausage.
British Sausage Week runs from 4th to 10th November, and Oxley’s Butchers, on Melrose Road, will be selling extra varities on the Thursday 7th to Saturday 9th.
Dave said: “We already sell more usual items such as kangaroo meat and wild boar.”
“Our best selling variety is the Lincolnshire sausage, which is made with our own secret recipe.”
Oxley’s Butchers is an approved and audited stockist of Quality Standard beef and lamb.
