Matthew Fell, director for Competitive Markets, CBI, has been announced as the keynote speaker at this year’s East Midlands Top 200 event when the results of an in-depth survey into business growth across the region will be unveiled.

During the event which is on 27th June at the Hilton Hotel next to East Midland airport and is organised by business and financial advisors Grant Thornton, Mr Fell will talk about the East Midlands’ performance in the context of the UK and global economy.

East Midlands Top 200 will, once again, provide analysis of the region’s top 200 businesses by growth rate, profitability and employment, and will include a breakdown of the financial data by county and sector.

The 200 companies will be selected based on the postcode of their trading address and level of growth over recent years.

The annual survey provides an excellent barometer of the economic prospects of the region.

Lucy Haynes, director for CBI East Midlands who is again leading the project on behalf of the CBI, said: “We very much welcome the publishing of this report.”

“We look forward to celebrating the companies in the East Midlands that are achieving success, and identifying regional trends.”

“Last year’s report was a great success and we hope to build on that this year.”
