Music legend and Oasis mentor Alan McGee will be a guest of honour at the latest Music Industry Bassetlaw event this weekend.
The founder of Creation Records will be talking about how he made a start in the business and the journey from playing bass in a punk band to starting one of the most successful independent record labels of all time on a mere £1,000 bank loan.
The free seminar, which is being run by Bassetlaw District Council, takes place on Saturday 12th April between 11am-4pm at The Well Community Centre, Retford.
Widely respected A&R executive Spencer Wells, Matthew Rumbold and Sean Denny will also be casting their well-tuned ears over demos from Bassetlaw-based bands and solo artists.
The project aims to give artists, technicians and anybody else involved in the music industry an entrepreneurial perspective.
