A CROWN court hearing looms for a Worksop man accused of assaulting an elderly couple in Worksop.

Christopher Browne, 42, of Mill Gardens, Worksop, entered no pleas at Worksop Magistrates’ Court last Thursday.

The charges relate to an alleged incident on 9th May 2012 at an address in Netherton Road.

Browne is accused of wounding Frank Herrick with intent to cause actual bodily harm, and assaulting Maureen Herrick causing her actual bodily harm.

Magistrates sent the case to Nottingham Crown Court for a hearing on 4th October. He was bailed on condition he lives at his address and avoids Netherton Road.
