Worksop man to appear on Countryfile

Worksop man James Boughton is one of a group of mental health service users who will appear on Countryfile this Sunday.

James, 26, who is based at the county council’s Worksop Community Resource Centre, was filmed at Idle Valley Nature Reserve in Retford at the end of August.

James, and other service users, grow vegetables, make willow benches, plant reeds and do a range of other work two days a week at the site, which is managed by Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.

Alison Lilley, day service support worker at Notts County Council, said: “Projects like these are brilliant for our service users because they offer the chance to learn new skills, gain a sense of achievement and they also provide a social network.”

Countryfile will be shown on BBC One at 7.30pm on Sunday 16th September.
