Thieves take child’s tribute
NEWS: The Gainsborough Standard
HEARTLESS thieves stole a rabbit-shaped flower tribute for a child killed in a road collision from a Retford florists.
The theft happened between 6pm on Saturday 13th October and 7.45am on Monday 15th October at More Than Flowers in Coronation Street.
The rabbit was taken from the rear of the shop when the lock was forced to an adjoining refrigerated shed.
The foot-high rabbit, made of white flowers with a pink lace trim at the bottom, was later recovered, discarded in a nearby street, but police are hoping shoppers in the area may have seen the culprits.
Shop spokesman Steve Casey said the store is offering a £500 reward for anyone with information leading to conviction.
Anyone with any information should contact Notts Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
