Theatre group visits
Things got a bit theatrical at Maltby Academy last Thursday as the Gramophones theatre company paid a visit.
The group were there to do a performance and workshop for the GCSE and AS Level students at the school.
They performed End to End - a journey from one end of Great Britain to the other, followed by an exploratory workshop on the theme of journeys.
Students used their own journeys to discover starting points for devising theatre in imaginative and innovative ways.
The Nottingham-based Gramophones theatre company specialise in witty and interactive theatre.
Drama teacher Charlotte Richardson said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for the students to watch a performance and then take part in a workshop to enhance their learning.”
