Step-brother in court for attempted murder

A Gainsborough man charged with attempting to murder his step-brother after a stabbing has appeared at Lincoln Crown Court today (Monday 7th January).
David Jupp, 29, suffered stab wounds and was rushed to Lincoln County Hospital from a house in Ashcroft Road, Gainsborough at 12.30am on Sunday 30th December.
Police described his condition as ‘critical but stable’ after surgery.
Mr Jupp’s step-brother Darren William Bryant, 30, of Elsham Walk, Gainsborough, was later charged with attempted murder.
Bryant appeared at Lincoln Crown Court by videolink on Monday 7th January and spoke only to confirm his name.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Lincoln Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on 22nd March.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested and bailed until 9th March pending further enquiries.
