Speak out on leisure

NEWS: The Gainsborough Standard

YOU are being invited to have your say on the future of West Lindsey District Council’s leisure facilities around Gainsborough.

Anyone who uses the council-owned West Lindsey Leisure Centre and other facilities is invited to have their say in a new questionnaire to help shape a new strategy for provision in the district.

Following a recent review, the council is developing a ‘Leisure and Active Recreation Strategy’ to meet the needs of residents and service users.

Coun Malcolm Parish said: “We need to ensure we consider the views and priorities of everyone who uses these facilities when planning for the future of leisure and active recreation.”

“This area is extremely important when ensuring the health and well being of our local communities and is supported by so many voluntary and professional organisations.”

He added: “We would like to try to pull together all the activity that is already happening and work together to establish a firm foundation on which to build for the future.”

People can have their say using a questionnaire on the council’s website which will be available until 11th March. To take the questionnaire go to http://survey.west-lindsey.gov.uk/snap/leisure_provision.htm or visit www.west-lindsey.gov.uk to find out more.

If you require a paper version please contact Karen Whitfield on 01427 675140 or email karen.whitfield@west-lindsey.gov.uk
