A WORKSOP man assaulted his vulnerable father by grabbing him around the throat, the town’s magistrates heard.

Adam Butterfield, 20, of Rydal Drive, admitted assaulting Paul Butterfield on Christmas Eve.

The case was adjourned until 10th January for probation reports.
