FOLLOWING yesterday’s heavy snowfall, schools in the Gainsborough area are open again and some market stalls are trading after today (Tuesday 15th January).

Yesterday, several schools closed early due to the snowfall - but today all local schools are open.

It was also announced that the market in Gainsborough’s Market Place was cancelled, yet several stalls are open and trading.

However, police and the authorities are warning all residents to take care in the treacherous conditions and icy roads and pathways - with sub-zero temperatures expected to remain for the coming days and with more snow forecast for Friday and Saturday.
