GAINSBOROUGH residents are warned to take extra care after further snowfall over the weekend.

Around two inches of snow fell overnight last night (Sunday 20th January) - leaving roads and pathways hazardous and traffic slow, with more snow expected to continue to fall throughout the morning.

Gritters and tractors have been clearing the Market Place and areas around the town centre.

There are currently no reports of school closures in the area.
