Snow forecast for Gainsborough area this weekend

GAINSBOROUGH residents are warned to take extra care with snow forecast over the weekend and into next week.
Temperatures around the Gainsborough area are expected to plummet late on Saturday evening with snow forecast for the early hours of Sunday morning continuing until around midday.
There is then said to be further wintry showers at different times on Monday and Tuesday.
A Met Office spokesman said: “There is a 70 per cent probability of severe cold weather, icy conditions and heavy snow between 6am on Saturday and 6am on Monday.”
“This weather could increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services.”
He added: “Please refer to the national Cold Weather Plan and your Trust’s emergency plan for appropriate preventive action.”
