SLIDESHOW: North County School just keep on running

READY, steady, go! The sun was out in full force as Gainsborough's North County Primary School held their annual cross-country race with Years 5 and 6 pupils ready to run their very best.

The children had their race numbers on thanks to Tesco, who had asked the school to take part in their World Record run attempt.

With adult marshals all along the route, the children raced along pavements and through the woods before striding back into the playground to the cheers of other children.

Organiser Mr Anderson said the top prizes went to Katie Williams and Jack McMenemy, who both commented on how they enjoyed the day.

"I am really happy the event went so well and all the training the children did really paid off with some very quick times," said Mr Anderson.
