THE Kirton in Lindsey cyclist killed in a crash on the A631 near North Willingham has been named by police.

Lincolnshire Police have revealed that 40-year-old Christian Raymond Brown of Grayingham Road in Kirton in Lindsey died at Hull Royak Infirmary on Monday 18th February.

He left in a critical condition after the incident which happened at about 10:50am on Tuesday 12th February when Mr Brown was riding with a group and fell from his bicyle near to Ash Grove Farm on the A631 at North Willingham.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “He underwent surgery on his head injuries and was in ICU in a critical condition.”

“We are investigating in an effort to establish what happened.”

“The investigating officer is Nigel Gasgoine of the Lincolnshire Police Collision Investigation Unit.”

He continued: “Nigel is appealing for witnesses who either saw the incident or the cyclists prior to it to contact him.”

Police say that the man’s immediate family have been informed of his death. He will be named later in the week.
