Police investigate attempted robbery of taxi driver in Manton
Two houses on Netherton Road Worksop were cordoned off by Police on Wednesday morning
Police are investigating a robbery which happened in Netherton Road, Manton, just before 1am today (Wednesday 23rd January).
A taxi driver was called to the street to pick up a fare but when he arrived was confronted by a man who demanded cash.
The suspect snatched a small quantity of money and made off on foot.
The taxi driver was badly shaken but not injured.
A cordon is in place while forensic enquiries are carried out at the scene.
The suspect is white, about 5ft 9ins tall, and was wearing a deerstalker hat with ear flaps.
Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call DI Ash Wilson, at Worksop CID on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
