Police are hunting a group of men who they believe are responsible for three assaults in Worksop last month.

The incidents all happened on Sunday 9th September 2012.

The first was at the Tesco car park, in Gateford Road, at about 8.25pm, when a 19-year-old man was punched in the face following an altercation with a group of men.

The suspects are believed to have been using a white Ford Transit van and a silver Ford Focus.

The second assault happened ten minutes later under the iron bridge at the junction of Gateford Road and Babbage Way.

A 21-year-old man received minor injuries following a collision with a car. Vehicles spotted at the scene included a white Nissan Cabster, silver Renault Traffic van and a white Ford Transit van.

The third incident took place at around 9.20pm in the Rufford Street/Manton Dale area, when a number of men arrived at the scene in a white Ford Transit van and an unknown silver vehicle.

They chased a 44-year-old man with golf clubs before striking him on the head, leaving him with cuts and bruises.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault in relation to the Tesco incident. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Witnesses or anyone with any information about the suspects are asked to contact Detective Colette Melrose at Notts Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
