INTREPID estate agents at a Worksop firm are lacing up their hiking boots to embark on a charity challenge.

Three members of the team at Bartrop and Dilks Property Services will climb to new heights on 25th May when they take part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge.

The route covers 23 miles across the Yorkshire Dales, reaching an ascent of 4,531 feet, and takes around 12 hours.

Neil Bartrop, Becky Ward and Keeley Metcalfe have put themselves forward, in the name of the company’s chosen charity Breast Cancer Research.

“I am asking everyone to kindly dig deep and sponsor us,” said company director Neil Bartrop.

“We are trying to raise £350 per person which will total £1,050 for the group. Even if you only want to sponsor a small sum, everything will help.”

Last year the Bartrop and Dilks team raised £500 for Cancer Research UK by taking part in the Race For Life run. And they are determined to double that on the Three Peaks walk.

“We are doing practice walks to prepare for the main event. Ten miles in February, 15 miles in March and 20 in April,” said Neil.

“It’s going to be an exciting challenge, but we are wondering whether we’ll manage to complete it without having to be airlifted.”
