Open day at town hall

TAKE a glimpse at the portraits in the council chamber at Retford Town Hall next month.
The room, normally reserved for council meetings and events, will be open to the public for one day only.
The public are been invited to get a rare glimpse in the chamber room on Saturday 9th February between 10am and 2pm.
The art on show includes the imposing life-size portraits of Royalty, Mayors and dignitaries hanging on the walls.
Local artists Ruth Templeton will be on hand to help visitors create their own portraits of current Mayor of Retford Coun Carol Palmer and Bassetlaw Council chairman coun Ian Campbell.
