Nuisance Worksop residents given anti-social behaviour injunctions

Bassetlaw Council is continuing to tackle anti-social behaviour after securing three more injunctions in court.

Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions were ordered against Leonard Potts, 64, Donna Potts, 33, and Jamie Bradford, 18, all of Sandhill House, Worksop at Mansfield County Court last month.

The injunctions protect people in the Sandhill Street area from being abused or harassed.

They also cover the playing of loud music, shouting, screaming and causing nuisance and annoyance.

The court also attached powers of arrest to the injunctions against Donna Potts and Jamie Bradford and breaching the terms of his A1 Housing tenancy to Leonard Potts’s injunction.

Gerald Connor, community safety co-ordinator at Bassetlaw Council, said: “These injunctions are accompanied by a power of arrest and we are grateful that the court recognised the impact that these individuals behaviour was having on the rest of the community.”

“We will continue to take court action against those people whose anti-social behaviour has a detrimental impact on the lives of our residents.”

Council leader and portfolio holder for community safety, councillor Simon Greaves said: “Nobody should have to tolerate anti-social behaviour.”

“Our message to all those whose behaviour is a blight on the lives of others is quite simple. We will take action against you. We will stand up for our residents. We will use our powers and work with the police and we will see you in court.”

The orders will last until 20th September 2013.
