New young talent conference

WORKSOP employers are being urged to attend a conference to see how young people can boost their business.

The Young Talent: Your Business, Our Future conference is being held in Nottingham on Thursday.

The conference is being supported by Nottinghamshire City and County Employment and Skills Board (NCCESB) to show business owners and employers how they can benefit by giving opportunities to young people.

“We want to attract Worksop employers from all sectors but with service industries such as the huge Wilkinson’s and B and Q distribution hubs, plus manufacturing and food processing having filled the gap left by coal mining, we really feel Worksop should have a big presence at the conference.” said NCCESB Strategic Manager David Kirkham.

“This fantastic event is being held in our very own backyard and we would like as many local businesses as possible to attend.”

“We know there are a lot of talented young people out there with skills that businesses need. Many of these young people just need an opportunity to demonstrate these skills and be given a chance.

“This a real chance to make a difference, so whether you have a business that employs 3,000 people or you are just looking to recruit your first employee, this could be a great opportunity to find out how you can recruit a young person and what is available to help you do this.”

Registration for the event costs £25.
