Swallownest Primary School took part in celebrations for World School Milk Day recently.
The day encourages children to drink milk and aims to educate them about the benefits of milk.
The school promotes milk as it adds to its Healthy School Status which helps improve health, raise achievement, and improve social inclusion.
Tracey Blakemore, headteacher, said: “In addition to calcium, encouraging children to drink milk provides important proteins, carbon and micronutrients which are essential elements in building and maintaining a healthy body.”
Rother Valley MP Kevin Barron, who joined in the celebration, added: “Drinking milk is vitally important for children as not only does it help their general health but aids their concentration and performance at school.”
