Man suffers broken jaw

Police investigating an assault in Retford which left a man with a broken jaw are appealing for witnesses.

A 21-year-old man needed hospital treatment for the injury after he was struck outside Yates’s bar, in Chapel Gate, at around 10.20pm on Saturday 1st September. He is now recovering at home.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers would still like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assault or an altercation in Chapel Gate at around 10.20pm last Saturday,
